Party time

Audrey Hepburn is said to have remarked: “If you want to be the centre of attention at a party, you shouldn’t go.” That may well be true, but you should think twice about whether it’s worth it when it comes to Prada Mode’s pop-up exhibitions.

This is where you’ll find the trendiest people, the best looks and the liveliest atmosphere. This was evident once again recently at the Hotel Chelsea in New York City during the 14th edition of the event series.

Uma Thurman, Thomas Wolfe and the protagonists of Andy Warhol’s film *Chelsea Girls* have at least one thing in common: time and again, they called the historic Chelsea Hotel in New York City home. At least for a while. The latest guest to achieve cult status: Prada Mode.

The Italian fashion house’s cultural series moved to the Chelsea Hotel for its 14th edition, presenting the immersive event “Satellites II”. Curated by Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn and Japanese gaming visionary Hideo Kojima, the production featured performances and installations that explored human relationships from various perspectives. The “Satellites II” installation spanned the entire Chelsea Hotel, revealing the differences and similarities between private and public spaces. The whole experience was topped off with a sci-fi aesthetic, as well as stimulating talks and concerts.

This was the second time the two creatives had worked together. Their first collaboration for Prada Mode, ‘Satellites’, was unveiled in summer 2025 at Prada Aoyama Tokyo.
