The exhibition focuses in particular on his photographs of London, which are still regarded today as milestones in artistic colour photography. Fieger’s London is a city on the move: elegant and rugged at the same time, characterised by historic façades, bustling streets, markets and the people who give the city its character. He captures fleeting moments of everyday life and, with his keen sense of colour, light and composition, develops a visual language that is ahead of its time. Particularly characteristic is his creative use of long focal lengths.
The exhibition also features other works, such as those from the 1976 Winter Olympics or Formula 1 in the 1960s.
