The Art of Being

We usually tend to feature real Ferraris here rather than cardboard ones. But we’re making an exception for Noah Becker’s version and taking a closer look.

Because the answer to the question of what the artist is trying to convey is so fascinating. And because we’re so impressed by his current exhibition, ‘Birds Eye View’, at the Guy Pieters Gallery in Knokke-Heist, Belgium. Find out why here.

You’re probably wondering: “Noah Becker? Wasn’t he Boris Becker’s son?” The answer is: yes. And the 32-year-old doesn’t shy away from this in his art; rather, he makes this very inborn celebrity status and its implications the subject of his work. His art is currently on display in the solo exhibition ‘Birds Eye View’ at the Guy Pieters Gallery in Knokke-Heist, Belgium. It’s a double debut: alongside his paintings and performances, Noah Becker is exhibiting sculptures here for the first time. And he is collaborating for the first time with the gallery owner Guy Pieters, who, incidentally, also exhibits the legendary wrapping artist Christo.

"Ferrari" (2026), Noah Becker
One of the sculptures in question: the cardboard Ferrari. In this work, Noah Becker seeks to establish a relationship between external perception and inner life – and to highlight the contrast between the outward appearance of a luxury item and the emptiness within.

Due to its great success, the ‘Birds Eye View’ exhibition at the Guy Pieters Gallery (Albertplein 15, 8300 Knokke-Heist, Belgium) until 11 October 2026. The artist will also be present at the gallery once again. Anyone wishing to meet him should plan their visit between 7 and 10 October. The gallery is open from Thursday to Sunday, from 10 am to 6 pm.

And if you can’t make it to Knokke-Heist by then: the exhibition “There’s enough for everyone”, featuring works by Noah Becker, is running at the Anna Laudel Gallery in Istanbul until 1 November 2026.
