Exciting times ahead

Watches and Wonders kicks off in Geneva on 14 April. For the major manufacturers, it is a stage, a benchmark and a laboratory for the future – and the most exciting time of the year for watch enthusiasts worldwide. We provide an outlook: on big watches, small wonders and everything in between.

Hasn't it always been said that you can't keep track of time? That may be true for the special moments in life – but not for the timepieces that give us an immediate sense of them time and time again. And it is precisely these that will be presented in all their novelties at Watches and Wonders 2026. This is about far more than mere topicality – the focus is on craftsmanship, history, technology and design.

Watch manufacturers have kept a low profile for a long time – but the guesswork will soon be over. One thing is certain: Zenith, IWC Schaffhausen, TAG Heuer and co. will deliver – and on a grand scale. After a break of several years, the traditional house Audemars Piguet will also be back, with newcomers including Sinn Spezialuhren.

With a total of 65 exhibitors, the trade fair will be bigger than ever before and is expanding its "In the City" programme to include a week full of free activities inspired by the art of watchmaking. So it's not just watch enthusiasts who will get their money's worth in the city on Lake Geneva.

Jet d'eau - the attraction for first-time visitors and returning travellers
Geneva's landmark was not originally intended to be a landmark at all. Instead, the hydroelectric power station, which supplied Geneva's watchmakers with energy from the Rhone, channelled the excess water pressure into the harbour. The result: the 140 metre high Fontaine Jet d-Eau.

Ottolenghi at Mandarin Oriental - the restaurant and hotel for luxury-loving city dwellers

The star chef Ottolenghi's first restaurant outside Great Britain opened directly on the Rhone - in the Geneva branch of the Mandarin Oriental. Ottolenghi serves Mediterranean dishes and focusses on seasonality and sustainability. Ideally you should combine a visit to the restaurant with an overnight stay at the Mandarin Oriental. We certainly don't need to explain to you why this is always worthwhile.

Initium - Workshops for watch enthusiasts
Watchmaking is a tradition in Geneva. Initium not only manufactures the jewellery, but also offers a look behind the scenes: In in-house workshops, interested parties can learn more about the art of craftsmanship and try their hand at watchmaking themselves.
