Anyone who has ever stood at a table football table knows the unwritten laws and official rules: no rod may complete a full rotation more than once before the ball touches a player; otherwise, it is considered a foul. Anyone who rolls the ball back and forth on a rod for longer than three seconds without attempting a recognisable move loses possession to the opponent. And, under most tournament rules, a goal scored from your own goalkeeper’s row simply doesn’t count.
We do not know whether or how these rules were adhered to at the ‘Teckell | Ducati Tournament’ during World Ducati Week. What we do know, however, is that the matches were played on some very special table football tables. To mark Ducati’s 100th anniversary, the brand, in collaboration with the Italian luxury label Teckell, is presenting a table football table limited to 100 pieces, which translates the brand’s design language into a design piece.
