Cultural summit meeting

Last weekend, ComplexCon took place in Las Vegas and once again proved to be a mecca for streetwear, art and pop culture. Right in the centre of it all: Artist Daniel Arsham, who as Global Artistic Director shaped the visual appearance of the festival and brought his iconic sculptures directly to the desert metropolis.

The two-day Festival in Vegas did not disappoint again this year: curated experiences and events in the areas of fashion, art, music, but also food, transformed the Las Vegas Convention Centre into a cultural playground. Over the years, the convention has evolved into more than just a weekend event - it is a kind of guide to how trends emerge and where culture is heading.

This year's highlights were certainly the concerts by musicians such as Yeat & Friends, Young Thug and 2hollis as well as the more than 300 fashion labels that were represented with their collections. What was exciting was that many brands offered far more than just the sale of their products - Nike had an immersive Nike installation, while other designers offered the opportunity to design garments live on site.

And then there was artist Daniel Arsham, who as this year's Global Artistic Director - before him Takashi Murakami, for example - put his very own stamp on the festival. Among other things, by launching the "Carsham Car Meetup". Arsham, already known for his fusion of art and automobility, presented a selection of vehicles that reflect his aesthetic vision - and gave participants the opportunity to exhibit their own car there. Including a petrol station, merchandise and hand-signed Hot Wheels model cars. An ideal platform for car lovers and art enthusiasts to network and share their passion.
