30 years, 50 cars, one legend: McLaren 750S Le Mans

In 1995, McLaren took overall victory at Le Mans on their very first attempt – now the British brand is celebrating the anniversary with a special edition of their 750S. To mark the occasion, McLaren pays visual homage to the legendary and victorious #59 F1 GTR, equipping the special model with a "High Downforce Kit."

McLaren and Le Mans: a perfect match. The British brand will soon be returning to the top class of the iconic endurance race – and on the way there will be honouring its first, legendary triumph from 1995. The special edition of the 750S now on show is limited to 50 units and combines iconic references to the F1 GTR #59 with state-of-the-art technology. The result: a road-legal super sports car with a real racing soul.

The central component of the “750S Le Mans” edition is the new MSO High Downforce Kit (HDK), which not only recalls the aerodynamic upgrades of the F1 LM, but also measurably increases performance on the racetrack – specifically by 10 percent more downforce compared to the standard 750S. This is ensured by a striking carbon rear wing with end plates, an enlarged splitter and a new underbody. The whole thing is rounded off by a central air scoop in the roof, which is as visually spectacular as it is functional.

The 750S Le Mans is also visually reminiscent of its roots: the “Le Mans Grey” and “McLaren Orange” paint finishes are available, combined with specially designed five-spoke alloy wheels in LM design. Red logos on gold-colored brake calipers, special emblems, carbon fiber fenders with air outlets and titanium exhaust tips round off the exterior package.

The interior remains consistently sporty: a choice of Alcantara in Dove Grey or McLaren Orange, combined with black leather, Le Mans embossing on the headrests and floor mats as well as a special dedication badge. A track record badge with a reference to McLaren's Triple Crown victory is optional: Le Mans, Indy 500, Monaco.

“The 750S Le Mans marks not just 30 years since our debut victory in the iconic race but an exciting time for the brand with McLaren GT3 EVO cars competing in this year’s race and the announcement of our return to the top, Hypercar class in 2027”, said Henrik Wilhelmsmeyer, Chief Commercial Officer at McLaren Automotive.

“This exclusive 750S is the first McLaren Le Mans edition since the F1 LM to feature HDK aerodynamic enhancements and is set to become one of our most sought-after supercars, with previous Le Mans editions of the 650S and 720S commanding a premium over standard models.”

The 750S Le Mans is powered by the familiar 750 hp 4.0-liter V8 biturbo with Monocage II carbon structure and Proactive Chassis Control III – plus optional racing brakes and Pirelli P ZERO™ Trofeo R. All in all: a piece of Le Mans history for the road.
