LVMH Watch Week: the ramp highlights

The most wonderful time of the year? For watch connoisseurs, it's peobably the end of January, when LVMH Watch Week takes place. Numerous brands from the luxury group Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy once again presented their new creations in Miami. Our personal highlights.

Zenith Chronomaster Triple Calendar

Zenith proves at Watch Week: time travel is possible! In the case of the Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar, we travel back to 1969, as the 38-millimetre case of the watch is based on original design drawings of the reference A386, which changed the world of watches in 1969. The highly complex calibre, on the other hand, is a new development based on the current El Primero and bears the designation "El Primero 3610". The tenth of a second measurement and other functions naturally remain untouched. Which means that the most versatile version of the legend is now back.

Hublot MP-10 Tourbillon Weight Energy System Titanium

There are many different varieties of haute horlogerie - and Hublot pushes the particularly avant-garde, technically refined variant to perfection. This is also the case with the MP-10 Tourbillon Weight Energy System Titanium. Instead of hands, the watch uses four displays that rotate continuously: the hours and minutes in the upper third, combined with an invisible magnifying glass; a circular power reserve in the centre third and the seconds directly on the tourbillon cage in the lower third. The name comes from the sophisticated winding technique: the principle of the weight has been retained, but verticalised and duplicated. On either side are two blocks of white gold that can move freely on a vertical axis - and thus wind the watch.

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph


TAG Heuer has chosen a different way to modify the familiar architecture of watch movements: they have implanted the tried-and-tested Aquaracer Professional 200 made of titanium with a movement that is powered by solar energy. The innovative movement with solar module called TH50-00 uses a battery that can also be recharged with artificial light. The special dial of the timepiece is partially transparent to allow the solar structure to work.

Zenith Chronomaster Sport & TAG Heuer Carrera Tourbillon

Everything is green: With the current watch trend colour "green", the Maisons are also presenting tried-and-tested watch models in a new look. Zenith, for example, is presenting a Chronomaster Sport in light green, inspired by the "Aaron Rodgers" special edition, while Tag Heuer has given the Carrera with tourbillon a dial in a dark shade of green with mother-of-pearl. No matter which watch you personally choose - green is always the right colour for you at the moment.
