Aston Martin has officially unveiled the new Vanquish Volante. The open-top high-performance model sets new standards in the combination of performance and design. With a top speed of 344 km/h, it is not only the fastest open-top Aston Martin of all time, but also the brand's most powerful front-engined production model. Just in time for the 60th anniversary of the Volante series, the company is celebrating its tradition with a vehicle that takes the essence of the model series to a new level.
“The opportunity to create a true flagship Volante is rare,” says Marek Reichman, Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer of Aston Martin. “It was crucial to develop the Volante in parallel with the Coupé to ensure perfect proportions and harmonious lines. The Vanquish Volante embodies all of this: breathtaking aesthetics, uncompromising dynamics and a presence on the road that is second to none.”
Like the Coupé, the Volante is powered by a 5.2-liter V12 biturbo that delivers 835 hp and 1000 Nm of torque. This enables the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. It has the spirit of the great avant-garde of automotive engineering of recent decades. The past is so great in it that there is basically no need for a new one. But of course it is good that it exists. The newly developed stainless steel exhaust system with four tailpipes enhances the acoustic experience, while an optional titanium exhaust system provides an even more intense V12 sound.
