As everyone knows, a good pair of sunglasses is a must-have in Beverly Hills. So it’s all the better that there’s now a new place to go for the perfect pair. The Berlin-based eyewear label MYKITA is opening its first store on the US West Coast. Following two locations in New York, Los Angeles is now the brand’s third US branch.
Founded by Moritz Krüger, MYKITA has stood for innovative eyewear designs, precise craftsmanship and an unmistakable design language for over two decades. Instead of eye-catching logos, the label focuses on clever details and an aesthetic that wins people over through design rather than big names.
For the design of the new shop, MYKITA has once again teamed up with the Berlin-based architecture studio Gonzalez Haase AAS. Aluminium, oak and striking design elements create an interior that strikes a balance between functional precision and an architectural statement. Berlin in Beverly Hills. Without disguising itself.
As well as the latest eyewear collections, the store offers personalised advice, professional eye tests and an in-house workshop.
And so MYKITA demonstrates once again that good design knows no bounds. But it does have a rather clear stance. Even under the Californian sun.
