Hublot: Big Bang MECA-10 Concrete Jungle

What was once considered raw now bears the signature of great design: with the Big Bang MECA-10 Concrete Jungle, Hublot turns concrete into an expression of style, substance - and the untamed energy of New York.

With the new Big Bang MECA-10 Concrete Jungle, Hublot dares to go a step further than many other watch manufacturers and combines the art of watchmaking with urban coolness. Hublot takes the iconic material concrete, long considered brutal and raw, and pours the essence of the big city into a piece of wearable mechanics: New York on the wrist.

The idea? Urban raw material meets Swiss Made refinement. The look? Massive presence in 44 mm, completely in matt concrete - from the bezel to the case back. The timepiece is dedicated to the new boutique on New York's Fifth Avenue - and is made from the same material as its façade.

Hublot shows: Toughness can be damn elegant. The whole thing is framed by titanium - H-shaped screws included - plus a crown with black rubber.

The skeletonized calibre HUB1201, developed in-house, ticks with a power reserve of 10 days - pure endurance, visible in every axis and in every gear wheel. Elegantly exposed and elaborately finished, the architecture of the movement is revealed in all its robust precision. It embodies the brutalist spirit that inspired this timepiece.

The watch comes with two straps: gray street style with Velcro fastener or classic rubber in black. Change it? Easy - thanks to Hublot's “One Click” system. The whole thing is then packaged in a green box with the NYC skyline.

After 2016 and 2020, Hublot is writing a new chapter in the city that never sleeps with the third generation of the Big Bang series.
