French Open: Game, set and style

The French Open, the only Grand Slam tournament on clay, is firmly linked to the elegance of the Parisian way of life. Two weeks in which style counts almost as much as the serve. Which Lacoste also reflects with its current Roland Garros 2026 collection.

There's excitement anyway: With Alexander Zverev, the German number one could win his first Grand Slam title.

Who will reach the final at the French Open this year is more open than it has been for a long time. With the favourites having been knocked out in the early rounds, Germany's number one, Alexander Zverev, now has a decent chance of winning his first Grand Slam title. This is particularly true given that he has just comfortably defeated the Spanish rising star Rafael Jodar in three sets in the quarter-finals. Just two more wins to go ...  

Who will definitely be on Centre Court on Sunday? Lacoste. The brand has been a partner of the tournament since 1971. For this year's edition Lacoste is bringing colour into play in a clever way: the "Clay Court Capsule" will be coloured with the sand from Roland-Garros. Each item of clothing is therefore unique - You can hardly get closer to the tournament without being on the court yourself.

The rest of the collection remains true to this line and is divided into two worlds: Performance, lightweight and technical, for all those who want to the racket themselves. And lifestyle, for the stands and the sofa at home. Newly designed polo shirts, sweatshirts and trainers, plus bags, caps and sunglasses. Sporty elegance that works just as well on the pitch as it does on the street.

One face of the brand is an old acquaintance: Novak Djokovic. He squandered a two-set lead in the third round against the young Joao Fonseca and lost in five sets after almost five hours. But it was one of the best matches of the tournament. Of course, we'd like to see something similar from Alexander Zverev. It can be less dramatic if he wins his first Grand Slam title.
