Moments on Display

The unique Watches & Wonders watch fair starts at the end of the week in Geneva, where numerous new products are once again expected to be unveiled. We get in the mood for the highlight - and review some of our personal favourites from the recent past.

Some people say time is an illusion.

And true, time often appears to be fleeting. The same cannot be said, however, for these watches. They offer us pleasure and prestige, not to mention that they’re a pretty good way to measure the passing of time.

As this exhibition so beautifully shows.

From the Blue Period:
A collector’s item at top left (limited to 88 pieces), a blend of materials in the center, complemented at the bottom by one of the first chronographs with an automatic movement.

Shining a new light on the old masters:

The Black Bay 58 on the left was named after the year in which Tudor introduced its first diver’s watch. The Air-King in the middle ties in with Rolex’s long aviation tradition. And the model on the right is the successor to the GMT-Master II introduced in 1955
