Aston Martin: Big in Japan

How to furnish your home? You can find inspiration for this at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. Aston Martin shows us which architecture suits it and how to skilfully integrate its super sports cars into it.

The British luxury brand designed a four-storey private residence in the heart of Tokyo and completed it last year. And there is also a vehicle gallery in the centre of the new townhouse.

Exclusivity on 724 square metres

Ideally located in the trendy Omotesandō neighbourhood, the property N°001 Minami Aoyama extends over three floors and a spacious basement. From the private spa with onsen terrace to a golf simulator and a car gallery for two Aston Martins - every detail has been thought through, craftsmanship meets high-end technology.

Marek Reichman, Chief Creative Officer of Aston Martin, describes the residency as an extension of the brand's design philosophy. "For Aston Martin, design goes beyond automotive inspiration. Our team considers fashion, architectural and even culinary influences when developing its works," says Reichman, "and from the striking, sail-shaped silhouette of the Aston Martin Residences in Miami to the ultra-luxurious interiors at Ra's al-Chaima and the striking architectural form of N°001 Minami Aoyama the importance of proportions, visual drama, material innovation and craftsmanship is unmistakable."

The characteristic façade with vertical metal slats creates a changing play of light, giving the building a constantly changing appearance throughout the day. The finest materials such as Hinoki wood, lava stone and customised Italian furniture by Molteni&C create an interior of effortless beauty between Japanese tradition and urban style.

The roof terrace of the N°001 Minami Aoyama is even more impressive. With a kitchenette, entertainment area and, of course, spectacular views of the Tokyo skyline.

Aston Martin also manages to create a staircase that attracts everyone's attention. The sculptural staircase is made of folded steel and is strongly reminiscent of the traditional Japanese origami artwork.

The Tokyo-based real estate company VIBROA expresses its enthusiasm about the collaboration with Aston Martin, especially in view of its renowned design philosophy and expertise. The British luxury brand is in turn consolidating the N°001 Minami Aoyama, the British luxury brand is consolidating its presence in Japan - and proving that cars and architecture, objects and lifestyle are sometimes not so far apart. are not so far apart.
