All Sails Set!

Sailing combines lifestyle, tradition, innovation and timeless elegance. At least that's what fashion house Loro Piana believes. The company is therefore committed to sailing - and draws inspiration for its designs from its maritime passion. The Maison currently has ample opportunity to do this again with its involvement in the Tre Golfi Sailing Week 2026 off the coast of Sorrento.

The history of today's luxury fashion house Loro Piana began in 1812 with the trade in woollen fabrics - in the north of Italy. The Italian equestrian team that competed at the 1992 Summer Olympics paved the way for fashion. Loro Piana kitted out the team, and shortly afterwards the brand began designing its own collections. The former family business grew into an internationally renowned fashion house with boutiques around the world.

What has never changed, however, is the aspiration to deliver the highest quality. And the connection to excellent sport. In addition to the historical connection to equestrian sport, the founding family has a particularly close connection to sailing, which has carried on into the third generation: To this day, Pier Luigi Loro Piana takes part in regattas with his boat "My Song".

But it's not just the lifestyle that goes hand in hand with sailing that inspires the brand. For Loro Piana, the sport is also an open-air laboratory that the brand always uses to experiment with the best performing and most innovative fabric solutions. Sailing is the place where Loro Piana combines artisanal savoir-faire with exceptional performance.

It is therefore only natural that the fashion house is also a sponsor of the Tre Golfi Sailing Week 2026 off the coast of Sorrento. The event is one of the most important sailing events in the Mediterranean and is currently reaching its final with the Inshore Race of the IMA Maxi European Championship 2026 

At the end of the event, the Maison will award the "Loro Piana Challenge Trophy" to the winner of the IMA Maxi Group 1, who will keep it until the next edition.
