Fritz Kalkbrenner is creative through and through. The decisive factor: Movement. Stimulating the senses. As a music producer, singer and DJ. In Berlin, Fritz Kalkbrenner's hometown and still home, BMW Drivers Club Champion Wladimir Kaminer meets the otherwise private artist. So whether in the Asian wonder market for the senses or in the bustling record store Elevate - Fritz Kalkbrenner shows us his Berlin.

And because Fritz Kalkbrenner moves his mind and body through creativity, it is only logical that he moves around in a vehicle that can keep up with him. In this case: a BMW X3.

Born in East Berlin in 1981, Fritz Kalkbrenner started out as a music journalist and today, in what is probably his best-known role as a DJ, is usually behind the mixing desk - often with self-written song lyrics, sometimes with his brother and DJ colleague Paul Kalkbrenner.

Now he returns with his latest album “Third Place”, which was released on November 1, 2024. Inspired by the sociological concept of the “third place” - places where creativity and community thrive - the album embodies the freedom and emotional liberation found in clubs and community spaces. Fritz Kalkbrenner's many facets are revealed in the encounter, Berlin is shown through the artist's eyes. To see and hear: an authentic Fritz Kalkbrenner, the inspiration for his music and formative places.
