A beneficial partnership

CUPRA is the official main and mobility partner of the Berlinale for the second time. At the 76th Berlin International Film Festival from 12 to 22 February 2026, the challenger brand is setting an example for creativity, innovation and the promotion of talent - also with a special competition.

Back in 2024, CUPRA launched the initiative "The Dream Makers", which is now being continued at the 76th Berlinale. The new edition of the competition is aimed at participants of the current Berlinale Talents edition and is also open to alumni who have already taken part in Berlinale Talents or its international initiatives and who have an innovative short film fiction project in development.

"With the short film competition, we are supporting the next generation of creative filmmakers and providing space for bold, visionary projects."

The selected finalists will go through a selection process supervised by Berlinale and Berlinale Talents. A jury of five people from the cooperation partners will decide which project will be realised. The winning project will receive a complete production of the short film in the studios of Studio Babelsberg as well as a production budget of up to 250,000 euros - financed by the SEAT CUPRA Foundation. The winners will be announced at the Berlinale.
