and IWC launch joint watches

Whether it's an aeroplane or a Formula 1 racing car, the Pilot's Watch from IWC is an extremely capable and functional timepiece. Stylish anyway - and even more desirable than usual in the characteristic blue hues of Mercedes driver George Russell.

According to the relevant experts and bookmakers, we already know the Formula 1 world champion for the 2026 season. His name is George Russell. Whether he and Mercedes can confirm the excellent early form of the first tests remains to be seen. What is certain, however, is that the Brit will be at the forefront when it comes to watches at the beginning of February. With two limited special editions of the IWC Pilot's Watch.

Both models - a chronograph and an automatic - combine blue accents with black zirconium oxide ceramic. Lightweight, extremely scratch-resistant, developed to withstand any strain. There is also Ceratanium on the crown and pushers: titanium lightness meets ceramic hardness. Racing spirit and tool logic, consistently thought through to the end. As mentioned, the visual anchor point is the bright blue that also characterises Russel's helmet.

The numerals, indices and luminous material pick up exactly this shade - a colour that is also striking in Formula 1. Russell's starting number "63" is engraved on the titanium case back.

The 69380 manufacture calibre with a 46-hour power reserve works in the chronograph - classic, robust and close to motorsport. The automatic version goes a little further: the calibre 32112 has a whopping 120-hour power reserve.

Both models are limited to 1,063 pieces and are fitted with a blue rubber strap and EasX-CHANGE® system. Changing without tools - just like a pit stop.

"It was an unforgettable experience to work with the creative team at IWC Schaffhausen to design my first limited edition watches. Using my signature colour, which has been with me for most of my career as a racing driver, and my starting number 63 makes these watches something very personal and unique for me," says Russell.

Well, and in the best-case scenario, that also applies to the 2026 Formula 1 season, which he would certainly like to conclude with the greatest possible success - the world championship title.
