Aston Martin Dreadnought: No more Mr. Nice Guy!

What would 007 and his gadget guru make of the Aston Martin Dreadnought? Mixed feelings, presumably, at first. Bond himself would probably raise an eyebrow briefly: an Aston Martin that exists only digitally, yet is named after a menacing warship. He'd like that. After all, he’s never been one for subtlety when it comes to understatement with a bit of oomph. The sound of the V12 alone would have won him over, even without any bullets under the bonnet.

Q, on the other hand, would probably have inspected the SUV’s armour and combat zone intelligence first, and remarked in his typically dry tone that, of all things, the military armour on an Aston Martin seemed almost too obvious to him. What would have really impressed him, though, was the satin-gold anodised finish on the door hinges. For Q, elegance has always been a must, even in the heat of battle.

There’s one thing they’d probably both agree on: an Aston Martin really belongs amongst grand hotels and coastal roads, not on the monsoon-soaked streets of Mumbai. Yet for Aston Martin's chief designer, Marek Reichman, the streets of New York and the monsoon-soaked roads of Mumbai were precisely the inspiration for the car. And that – as even Bond and Q would probably agree – naturally suits the job the Dreadnought is meant to do: mowing down the enemies in the upcoming shooter ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’.
