Holidays with a power reserve

The so-called ‘face-name matching effect’ describes how whether our name is Thomas, Violetta or Tom has a measurable influence on us. According to a study from 2024, we adapt our appearance and behaviour to our names, in line with the stereotypes associated with them.

The unidirectional rotating ceramic bezel, featuring a continuous minute scale and 60-minute graduations, forms the watch’s distinctive frame. To ensure the time is always visible whilst diving, the hour markers from 0 to 15, the subsequent five-minute markers, and the minute and hour hands are coated with luminescent material. The luminescent triangle at the 0 mark indicates the start of a time period, whilst the minute hand measures its duration. Given its great importance, it features a distinctive arrowhead tip. The power reserve indicator at 6 o’clock reveals whether the Mühle-Glashütte Sportivo Power Dive still has sufficient power for the next dive.

The dynamic colour gradient of the dial, ranging from black through petrol blue to turquoise, makes the watch a real eye-catcher, even beyond its functional features. The dial is framed by a case measuring 42.5 millimetres in diameter, which is partly polished and partly brushed. Thanks to the 2.2-millimetre-thick, double-anti-reflective sapphire crystal and a screw-down crown, the case is water-resistant to 30 bar.

The SW270-1 movement, Mühle version, ensures high accuracy thanks to its shock-resistant and finely adjustable woodpecker-neck regulation. The result: a deviation of no more than eight seconds per day.

As Mühle-Glashütte is celebrating its 30th anniversary in wristwatch manufacturing in 2026, a special rotor has been fitted to the movement – as is the case with all new models from 2026 that are also being produced this year.
