And right next to it: a 911. A 964 Turbo . . .
That’s the dream car in my garage. With the 3.3-liter engine. I quite deliberately chose that -version. Because I want to drive it a lot – and the 3.6-liter models are simply too valuable for that. As a kid I dreamed of this car. When I saw one parked somewhere, I would just stand there staring at it. And whenever someone started the engine, I’d lose my mind. It was completely unattainable for me back then, but also an enormous motivation. When I found this one in absolutely perfect condition, I had to go for it.
It looks phenomenal.
The 964 has, for me, the most beautiful body shape of all 911s. Although, detail-obsessed as I am, I still wanted to tweak a few things: the -steering wheel, for example. Or the taillights. They had a tiny crack, barely visible, but something like that bothers me. So out they went. I also sharpened up the exhaust system and the turbo a bit. Makes the whole driving experience more intense. Especially when the turbo kicks in. And the sound . . . pure bliss!
