The first gear is white

While others are still charging their motorbike batteries, Ducati opens the season. Campioni in Pista marks the start of MotoGP 2026 – three days of winter, racing DNA and red commitment.

And off we go! Ducati kicks off the 2026 MotoGP season in mid-January at the traditional Campioni in Pista in Madonna di Campiglio. A three-day winter event, set between the Dolomites, motorsport and brand history.

The focus was on the presentation of the Ducati Lenovo Team and the new Desmosedici GP 2026, a MotoGP bike with a special Rosso Centenario livery and a nod to Ducati's 100-year history. The design and colour concept come from Centro Stile Ducati.

Continuity also remains the theme on the rider side. Marc Márquez and Francesco Bagnaia will line up for the works team again in 2026. Both riders presented themselves together with the team, technicians and partners at the official season opener. The first Grand Prix of the year will take place on 1 March 2026 in Thailand.

Campioni in Pista is more than just a team presentation. Ducati uses the event as a meeting point for fans, media and partners. In addition to presentations, the programme included sporting activities and an exhibition on racing history – from Ducati's early racing bikes to the current MotoGP generation.

Madonna di Campiglio thus remains an integral part of the Ducati calendar. A winter kick-off with a clear message: the new season is ready.
