Zenith Watches: Star line-up

Building a city is actually enough of a challenge. To do the whole thing on a circular surface with a diameter of 41 or 36 millimetres requires absolute precision. A discipline that the watchmakers at ZENITH have always perfected.

Milan or Madrid? If you ask the watchmakers at ZENITH Watches, the answer is probably Italy. With the capital of Lombardy leading the way. After all, fashion and design come together there on the edge of the Po Valley to create an inspiring metropolitan experience. And that is exactly the perfect template for the DEFY Skyline collection with its modern design and architectural shapes on the case and movement.

The manufacture is presenting the result at LVMH Watch Week. Benoît de Clerck, CEO of Zenith Watches, is delighted with the result: "Imagination, development and savoir-faire come together to illustrate that both the construction of a city and the manufacture of a watch give form to the invisible." But just see for yourself.

DEFY Skyline Skeleton

Openness is never a bad thing. Especially when it reveals technical marvels such as the calibre 3620 SK. And when the gold-coloured movement is then contrasted by a striking black ceramic case, the cosmopolitan gesture is perfect.
DEFY Skyline Chronograph

Even classics need to be reinterpreted from time to time. After the shades of blue in 2025, the DEFY Skyline Chronograph is now "Black is beautiful". The ceramic case is not simply coated, but completely coloured. Why? Because it creates a wonderful visual depth and gives the chronograph a sculptural intensity. Inside, by the way, the El Primero 3600 calibre operates at a high frequency of 5 Hz and offers a genuine 1/10 second display
DEFY Skyline Tourbillon Skeleton

What is the essence of time? With the first skeletonised tourbillon in the DEFY Skyline line, Zenith Watches offers a new perspective in shimmering rose gold. With this watch, mechanical complexity is given an architectural presence, so to speak, while the finishes of the blue PVD coatings provide visual moments of tension. And because this watch is something very special in this version, the number of pieces has been limited to 50.
DEFY Skyline 36

If you ask the watchmakers at ZENITH what features characterise the DEFY Skyline collection, the word "versatility" is sure to come up. With the 36-millimetre version, this is now extended by two more facets. The new model comes in an elegant, minimalist interpretation and a more extravagant version with sparkling diamonds. Both watches share a silver-coloured dial and a modern reinterpretation of the historic "Double Z" logo from the 1960s. Both models are powered by the Elite 670 automatic movement.
DEFY Revival A3643
Reference: 03.A3642.670/01.M3642
The timeless can be revived. ZENITH Watches has been doing this since 2022 with key models from the first DEFY models from 1969. This year sees the release of the DEFY Revival A3643, the third watch in this series. The dial remains true to the original structure down to the last detail. This is possible thanks to a high-precision scan of the vintage model. What is new, however, is the sapphire crystal case back, which, unlike the solid case back of the original from 1969, allows a view of the Elite 670 automatic manufacture movement.

Head of Text & Editor
He had a very clear career plan from a very early age: He wanted to be a rock star. Then he was allowed to join the school band. Because he wrote the lyrics (and because nobody, but really nobody, wanted to play bass). But it didn't last long. He switched basses with his father's Triumph Adler, realised that it also sounded nice, and decided to write about the dark side of the music business. But it turned out to be an internship at the local newspaper. Stayed quite a long time. It was much more exciting than I thought. After that, I worked as an editor for various newspapers, covering the finer things from cinema to music to travel. I also came across ramp. And stayed. It really is as exciting as I thought.
